Credit Card Churning- Chase Freedom review

So, this has been a big topic within the financial community. I am one of the people who take part in it. I generally use it for traveling, however, I avoid cards with annual fees. This is because I do not spend enough to make it worthwhile.

However, when I know I am going to make a large purchase I apply for a new card. My newest card is Chase Freedom. It has no annual fee and if you use the link below, then you will get $150.00 on a $500.00 purchase within three months.

My favorite way to use credit cards is to pay my utilities, since it is usually around the same each month and can be used as a budgeting tool.

So, I used this card recently to purchase a set of tickets from Sweden to Central America. After using all my points available with the airlines, I came to a final charge of $650.00. I will receive $150.00 for my trouble. Meaning my trip will be a total of $500.00!

Any point after this is 1 point per dollar but it is 0% APR for the next 15 months. Meaning I do not have to pay it off at the end of the month. However, I will not take advantage of this. This might be a great insurance for some.

One of the things about credit card churning I love is that it is essentially making your money work harder for you. If you were already going to buy the item and have the money saved up, might as well use the card and get the cashback or points. Making the item cheaper.

The drawback of using credit cards is it can be easy to go down a rabbit-hole of debt accrual. For this reason, always use a credit card like a debit card.
